Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity

The Enterprise Risk Manager – Reporting and Analytics leads the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of Aldermore enterprise risk reporting and analytics (more prominently group risk appetite and risk profile).

The Manager will build strong relationships with stakeholders across risk and the wider business and adopt a collaborative approach to the successful delivery of own and team priorities.

The role holder will also be responsible for the development, control mechanisms and dissemination of ERM risk reports, producing valuable insights and easy-to-understand packs. It is imperative that the individual is able to communicate with teams outside of risk to develop solutions in analytical platforms and is able to identify the best solutions for reporting and data management.

This role will be exposed to senior management and the candidate must be able to communicate effectively and be prepared to negotiate effectively to achieve the best outcome for the organisation.

What will your day look like?

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, you will be responsible for:

  • Own and manage updates to Risk Appetite tools, templates, and committee presentations, ensuring compliance with the Risk Appetite Framework/Policy.
  • Lead the Group’s risk appetite review process, embed risk appetite across principal risks and functions, and collaborate to monitor and escalate metrics effectively.
  • Develop, enhance, and centralise risk reports and MI, integrating unstructured data to provide complete, meaningful views of risk.
  • Work closely with ERM and Risk teams to improve reporting quality, ensuring robust data controls, clear audit trails, and data accuracy.
  • Manage team workloads and priorities, overseeing the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Support the growth of team members and contribute to broader evolving Enterprise Risk Management initiatives as directed by the Head of Enterprise Risk.

What do we expect from you?

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.
  • Expertise in MI/reporting design, management, and enhancement, with advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Tableau experience.
  • Skilled in working with unstructured data, developing controls and procedures to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • 5+ years' experience in financial services, ideally with a focus on risk management reporting.
  • Ability to build relationships across the business and lead small teams; experience in coaching and developing team members.
  • Strong knowledge of data controls and data visualisation tools, with intermediate to advanced Excel analytics skills.
